No need to panic over removal of PMS subsidy — NMDPRA

No need to panic over removal of PMS subsidy — NMDPRA.

Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority released a press report following the removal of fuel subsidy.

Few hours after the newly elected president of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, announced the removal of fuel subsidy and it not been in the 2023 budget, Nigerians feared the worst and we're seen in various fuel stations struggling to purchase fuels. Some fuel stations even sold a liter for 600, while some rumoured to be sold 700/1liter in their neighbourhood.

As a result of this, NMDPRA released a press report telling and assuring Nigerians that any fuel station found selling above 210/1liter will be shut down.

Below is the press release as uploaded on their official Twitter handle.
