Gunmen kidnapped Faturoti Olaniyi, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, or RCCG, in Karu, Nasarawa State.

The perpetrators entered the building at around 1:30 in the morning, fired multiple bullets, and then took the victim away to an undisclosed place, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

In reaction to the incident, police, local vigilantes, hunters, and other security officers formed joint teams and launched a manhunt. They looked for the kidnappers in the nearby hills and bushes and blocked probable escape routes.
