Actress Shan George describes how she lost out on an investment opportunity after speaking the truth to a very wealthy Nigerian man.

Actress Shan George has described how she lost an investment opportunity and was harmed by speaking the truth.

She clarified that ten years ago, after making a film, she met and invited one of the wealthiest individuals in Nigeria. When he inquired about the cost of the film's production, she said that it came to N6 million. She claimed that after coming to this realization, he waved her away and kept doing so.

She claimed she now understands why the wealthy man declined to fund her film after he recently disclosed that he "doesn't take any little person serious when it comes to business."

She went on to say that although telling the truth cost her money, she would not lie.

"Many years ago, when I was a struggling film producer, I happened to meet one of Nigeria's wealthiest men by chance. I went to invite a father to my film's premiere and he was there, so I also invited him," the actress-producer wrote.

"He asked me how much I spent making the film in the few minutes we were together. I told him it was 6 million naira, which was a lot of money over ten years ago. I also asked if he could invest in our next film, and he simply waived me away with a smile.

"I tried to contact him a few times to ask for his investment in our upcoming film, but he was inaccessible, so I moved on.

"I recently read that the same individual stated that, in terms of business, he doesn't take any small person seriously. Since I was a struggling producer at the time, I can now see why he waved me away.

"This is how the truth always puts us back on track. Shey, I lied, don't I? However, I'm not going to join the dishonest gang or pretend to be someone I'm not. I now make movies with $100 million and simply one Bitcoin, sir. Will you invest today? Or are we still too little? Ndi uwa.
