Trump warns Putin with another conflict in Ukraine, saying, "You'll see things happen."

When questioned on Wednesday, September 3, about his message to Russian President Vladimir Putin concerning the ongoing violence in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump delivered a warning.

"I don't have anything to tell President Putin. He is aware of my position, and he will decide one way or another," Trump declared from the White House.

In a seemingly subliminal threat, the president said, "Whatever his decision is, we'll either be happy about it or unhappy, and if we're unhappy about it, you'll see things happen."

When asked about the administration's actions—or lack thereof—against Russia, Trump became noticeably angry.

"How are you aware that nothing is happening? Would you think that secondary sanctions are about comparable when applied to India, the biggest buyer outside of China? Would you deny that Russia lost hundreds of billions of dollars as a result of the action? Trump stated.

He went on, "You call that no action." He alluded to additional punitive measures when he stated, "And I haven't done phase two or phase three yet."

"As you recall, I stated two weeks ago that India would have severe issues if it were to purchase, and that is exactly what transpired. Therefore, don't discuss that with me," Trump continued.

In its ongoing attempts to secure a peace agreement, the Trump administration has so far shown little willingness to impose additional penalties on Russia, despite repeated threats.
