The Christian community in Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of Pastor Nkechi Chinyere Ene, the beloved Presiding Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church, Port Harcourt.
According to reports, Pastor Ene died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, shortly after returning from a ministry trip abroad. Sources close to the church revealed that she suffered a sudden health crisis in Lagos soon after her arrival back into the country.
Until her death, Pastor Nkechi Ene was widely known for her fiery preaching, deep knowledge of the Word, and her remarkable passion for spreading the gospel. She led The Carpenter’s Church with grace and vision, continuing the legacy of her late mentor, Pastor Charles Omofomah, who founded the ministry.
In a heartfelt statement, The Carpenter’s Church described her passing as “a great loss to the body of Christ and a void that words cannot fill.
