(Read) In response to a widely shared video that links him to a young woman, Senator Ned Nwoko offers a severe warn/ng

Prince Ned Nwoko, a billionaire politician and the husband of actress Regina Daniels, has spoken out following the release of a widely shared film that purports to show him with a young woman.

Ned Nwoko said in a public statement posted on his Instagram page that the woman had come to see him as a member of a team working under Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule's Peace Ambassadors program, and not for any private motive.

He clarified that although pictures were taken during the visit, as is customary whenever he hosts visitors, certain people have now used the occasion for their own gain.

"Social media has become a place where moments are easily twisted for clout and misinformation, which is unfortunate," he said.

Nwoko continued by characterizing the allegations as "mischievous and malicious," making it apparent that he has no private or personal relationship to the woman who is the subject of the online rumors.

He added that the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 is still in effect and will be utilized against anyone found guilty of disseminating false information, and he urged people and media outlets who were propagating the tale to halt right once.

In his own words:

"I want to make it very clear that the rumors that are being spread about her visit are completely untrue. I don't have any kind of private or intimate relationship with her.

"This false narrative will be subject to appropriate legal action if it is propagated further."
