Christina Perri Files for Divorce from Husband Paul Costabile After Seven Years of Marriage

The “A Thousand Years” singer cites irreconcilable differences and requests joint custody of their two daughters.

Singer-songwriter Christina Perri, best known for her hit single “A Thousand Years,” has filed for divorce from her husband, Paul Costabile, after seven years of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Perri filed the paperwork on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The documents also list the same day as their official date of separation, signaling that the decision was recent.

The couple shares two daughters, 7-year-old Carmella and 3-year-old Pixie. Perri has requested joint legal and physical custody of their children.

In her filing, the 38-year-old singer also requested that spousal support for Costabile be terminated. The documents confirm that the couple has a prenuptial agreement in place. Costabile works as a television personality and entertainment reporter.

Perri and Costabile first met in 2013 during an interview and later married in December 2017, which would have marked their eighth anniversary in just six weeks.

This marks Perri’s first marriage, and the split comes after several personal challenges, including her openness about pregnancy loss and her journey through grief and motherhood.

“Christina Perri is committed to co-parenting and ensuring the well-being of their daughters during this transition,” sources close to the singer told TMZ.
