Nigerian street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed his intention to return to school despite his fame and growing success in the music industry.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the Zazuu Zeh hitmaker spoke passionately about the importance of education, explaining that going back to school would help him improve his professionalism, enhance his communication, and set a positive example for his children.
Education for Growth and Good Example
Portable disclosed that he already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, though he never collected his certificate after completing the programme.
According to the singer, his renewed interest in education is driven by his desire for intellectual growth, self-respect, and social recognition.
He emphasized that despite his fame, education remains a key tool for personal development and career management.
In his words:
“I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to be mocked that their father is illiterate.
I wan go back to school so that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealings with people.”
Portable, who rose to stardom in 2021 with his breakout hit Zazuu Zeh, has often made headlines for his outspoken personality and controversial lifestyle. However, this new decision reflects his commitment to personal growth and positive change.
