Yomi Fabiyi Claims He Has Video Evidence of How Mohbad Was Killed, Calls on President Tinubu to Intervene

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has alleged that he is in possession of a video showing how late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was killed.

Fabiyi made the revelation in a video posted on social media, where he also appealed directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step in and ensure justice is served in the controversial case.

According to him, the video was sent to him during an alleged extortion attempt, which he believes is now being used as a tool to silence him.

Fabiyi disclosed that he wrote a formal letter to President Tinubu in May 2025, informing him that Mohbad was “murdered” and that the truth surrounding the singer’s death was being suppressed.

“Key suspects were identified”  Fabiyi

The actor further claimed that Mohbad’s case file was reviewed by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, and that investigators identified key suspects linked to the singer's death.

However, Fabiyi alleged that efforts are now being made to cover up the findings.

“Now they want to cover it up. They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests,” he said.

“This suspect wants to silence me because they want to use the video against you.”

His latest claims have reignited public debate and renewed calls for a transparent, conclusive investigation into Mohbad’s death, which has remained a major national conversation since 2023.
