Nollywood actor Mike Folarin has opened up about the challenges he faces with some female fans, revealing that their overzealous behaviour has at times crossed personal boundaries.
Speaking candidly during an interview with VJ Adams, the movie star disclosed that he has experienced unsolicited physical advances from fans, including being kissed without his consent.
Describing the incident as one of the most ridiculous experiences he has encountered in the entertainment industry, Folarin explained that it happened during a night out in Lagos.
“Getting unsolicited kisses is the most ridiculous fan experience I have had. Yeah, getting kissed without my consent. It happened in Lagos, in the club. So, I guess everybody was intoxicated,” he said.
The actor used the opportunity to advise fans to always respect personal boundaries, emphasising that consent is paramount, regardless of a celebrity’s status.
Folarin stressed that admiration should never translate into inappropriate behaviour, urging fans to seek permission before any form of physical interaction.
