Olamide Says He’s Now Prioritising Himself and His Well-Being

 


Ace Nigerian rapper and music executive, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has revealed that he is currently in a new phase of self-prioritisation, where he is focusing fully on his personal well-being and career.

The YBNL boss made this known during a recent interview with Flow 98.7 FM, where he explained that after years of supporting others while still pushing his own music, he has now decided to give himself undivided attention.

“Right now, I’m at the phase in my life where I’m really trying to give myself undivided attention.
All my life I’ve been trying to be there for people and also trying to do my stuff. But right now, I’m really just trying to focus on myself 100 percent,” Olamide said.

Olamide is widely regarded as one of the most influential hitmakers and kingmakers in the Nigerian music industry. Through his record label, YBNL, he has helped launch the careers of several successful artists including Lil Kesh, Young John, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and many others.

Beyond his label, the rapper has also given several artists their major breakthrough through collaborations, including Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, Bella Shmurda, among others.

His latest revelation has sparked reactions online, with many fans praising his self-awareness and clarity of purpose after years of supporting others in the industry.
