Emmy Award-winning actress Zendaya has addressed a viral set of fake wedding photos of herself and actor Tom Holland that circulated widely online.
The images, which began trending on Instagram in mid-February, quickly gained massive attention, racking up over a million likes within an hour and prompting widespread speculation about their authenticity.
Speaking during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Zendaya confirmed that the photos were AI-generated and not real. She noted that a surprising number of people—including friends and acquaintances—were convinced that she had secretly married the English actor.
“While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real,’” she explained.
The actress’s clarification highlights the growing challenge of distinguishing AI-generated content from reality, especially on social media platforms.
