Blackout As National Grid Collapses



  Blackout State as national grid collapses for the 6th time in 2022.


  Several cities in Nigeria, including the federal capital Abuja, were thrown into darkness following the Collapse of the national grid on Sunday, June 12. 

  It was gathered that the grid collapsed on Sunday evening leading to the shutdown of the outgoing electricity feeders of some power distribution companies. 

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and the Jos Electricity Distribution Plc confirmed the development in statements to their customers.

It would be recalled that the national grid had collapsed in April, as a result of vandalism on a transmission tower, leading to a loss of about 400 megawatts of electricity, according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
