Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin leaves Balmoral.
Elizabeth II was Queen of the United Kingdom from 6 February 1952 until her death on 8 September 2022. She died after suffering from an illness. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country.
The late Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin left her Scottish estate at Balmoral Castle on Sunday as the monarch began her last journey back to London for a state funeral.
