Man Apprehended For Crushing A Driver To Death, Ogun State.
A 26-year-old man by name, Adeyemi Babatunde, has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for allegedly killing a 46-year-old driver Obafunsho Ismail, over a misunderstanding. The ugly incident happened on December 8,2022.
According to SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of the state police command in a statement released, the trouble started on December 8, 2022, at about 8 p.m, when the suspect, who drove a Lexus jeep with ""Olu of Oya"" customized number plate, hit the deceased's car from the rear and caused damage to the rear light of the said car.
This got the deceased angry and demanded the presence of the suspect while seating on the suspect's bonnet.
The suspect on refusing to alight and make peace, drove on high speed which made the deceased fall down from the car, and the car ran over him. Not satisfied, the suspect also reversed the vehicle and ran over the deceased again to ensure that he actually dead.
