Salifu Abdul Rashad and Alhassan Ayisha, a newlywed couple, were killed in an accident in Gurugu, a neighborhood of Tamale in Ghana's Northern Region.
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at around 11:00 p.m., the accident occurred, a few hours after the couple's wedding party.
According to reports, the bride died on the spot, and the groom was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after from his wounds.
The pair hit a car while riding their motorcycle from the bride's family house to the groom's leased flat in Gurugu.
Since then, their remains have been sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
