Trump demands that a CNN reporter be fired for reporting on Iran's nuclear damage, saying she should be thrown out like a dog.

US President Donald Trump has demanded that CNN reporter Natasha Bertrand be fired after she revealed that recent American airstrikes on Iranian nuclear installations might have merely caused a few-month delay in Tehran's nuclear program.

It's time for Natasha Bertrand to leave CNN! I spent three days observing her while she produced fake news. Trump wrote, "She should be reprimanded immediately and then thrown out 'like a dog,'" on his Truth Social platform.

According to Trump, Bertrand was "trying to destroy our Patriot Pilots by making them look bad" and undercutting American military efforts. "She doesn't have what it takes to be an on-camera correspondent, not even close," he wrote, casting doubt on her reliability. NATASHA, FIRE!

The strikes on Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday had little long-term effect, according to an internal U.S. intelligence assessment that Bertrand had referenced. According to the preliminary report, the strikes only caused a few months' delay in Iran's nuclear enrichment program. Similar conclusions from her investigation were reported by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other publications.

Trump insisted that the strikes had done significantly more harm and rejected the leaked assessment as being insufficient. He and his government have persisted in promoting the Israeli viewpoint, which claims that Iran's program has been postponed for a number of years.

Notwithstanding Trump's criticism, CNN steadfastly supported their reporter. The network responded in a statement to The Hill:

"CNN fully supports the journalism of Natasha Bertrand, particularly the early intelligence assessment of the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities that she and her colleagues reported."

The network pointed out that the study had also addressed Trump's mistrust of the intelligence and underlined that it was explicitly stated as a preliminary finding.

The statement continued, "We do not think it is reasonable to criticize CNN reporters for accurately characterizing the assessment's findings, which are in the public interest, and accurately reporting its existence."

The dispute arises as the Trump administration continues to look into how the sensitive information leaked. Trump frequently accuses networks like CNN of bias, and his harsh remarks are a reflection of his larger contempt for coverage by the mainstream media.

Experienced national security correspondent Bertrand has refrained from making public comments over Trump's statements.
