The arrest of a guy posing as a member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the Kwado neighborhood of Katsina city has been confirmed by the NSCDC's Katsina state command.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, people of the Kwado community arrested the culprit, Abdurrashid Gambo, who was accused of stealing after he was purportedly seen wearing an NSCDC outfit.
The spokesperson for the command, SC Buhari Hamisu, stated that Gambo was a native of the Kofar Durbi/Mallam Niga neighborhood and that he had volunteered with the NSCDC's Katsina Central Division around six years prior.
