Alhaji Tukur Bala Sagagi, the chairman of the Kano State Tourism Board, stated during the raid that the action is a component of the state government's endeavor to reduce drug usage and associated social vices throughout the state.
He added that the state already has a legislation that forbids smoking shisha.
"The government will not tolerate anyone who violates the law that forbids smoking shisha in Kano State," he continued.
Before the government takes action, he asked proprietors of such locations where drug usage occurs to clean up their establishments or close them.
The ministry's fight against drug addiction and illegal drugs, including the ones that were allegedly discovered at the club, included the raid.
