The Presidency will continue to support the Nigerian military's position that there was no recent coup attempt, according to Sunday Dare, President Tinubu's Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication.
Recall that on October 18, the Defense Headquarters (DHQ) issued a statement calling online claims that claimed that events marking Nigeria's 65th anniversary of independence had been canceled due to an attempted coup plan "false and misleading." President Tinubu's recent dismissal of the Service Chiefs has added gasoline to the story.

Dare stated in an interview with TVC news last night that the Nigerian military's position will be maintained by the presidency.
