TYLA BEATS WIZKID, DAVIDO & BURNA BOY — NAMED BIGGEST BILLBOARD AFROBEATS ARTIST OF 2025

In a major win for South Africa, Grammy-winning singer Tyla has been crowned the biggest U.S. Afrobeats artist of the year on Billboard’s 2025 year-end chart — overtaking Nigerian heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema.

Billboard’s newly released U.S. Afrobeats Songs Artists 2025 list places Tyla firmly at number one, thanks to her global hit streak and massive crossover appeal.

Nigeria still dominates the rankings, with

Wizkid at No. 2

Rema at No. 3

Davido at No. 4

Burna Boy at No. 5

American-Ghanaian star Moliy joins the top ten alongside Nigerian hitmakers Asake, Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, and BNXN.

Positions 11 to 20 feature more Nigerian superstars, including Fola, Tems, Olamide, Fido, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, Chella, Kizz Daniel, Zinoleesky, and T.I Blaze.

The chart wrap-up also includes British-Nigerian acts Odeal, Young John, Odumodublvck, Kunmie, and Ayo Maff, showing the global reach of Afrobeats across borders.
