Troops destroy terrorists and retrieve objects In the Gwoza ambush.

Two Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists were killed by troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, during an ambush in Hudugum village in the Hambagda area along the Gwoza–Limankara road in Borno State.

The operation was carried out on Wednesday under Operation Desert Sanity IV/Diligent Search by soldiers of the 192 Battalion in cooperation with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, or CJTF, according to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who made this revelation on X on Thursday.

According to Makama, the military reportedly reached the terrorists' logistics elements about 6:30 p.m. and engaged them in a gunfight, killing two rebels and wounding others as they retreated into the Mandara Mountains.

Three bicycles, mats, wrappers, blankets, solar panels, torchlight, clothes, condiments, and phone covers were among the items found at the scene.

There were no reported soldier casualties or equipment losses, and the operation was deemed successful.

Around 7:50 p.m., troops were reported to have successfully returned to the base, and at first light, more terrorists' withdrawal routes were anticipated to be exploited.
