Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes has firmly rejected a viral TikTok video that falsely alleged she became pregnant at age 13 by former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider.
Bynes, 39, told TMZ the video was “completely fake” and filled with “lies,” stressing that she had no connection whatsoever to the disturbing clip circulating online.
TikTok Video Manipulated Her Footage
The now-deleted TikTok was posted from a fan account called amandabynesupdates. It featured a recent video Bynes recorded herself, but the footage was deceptively edited with on-screen text accusing Schneider of impregnating her as a minor.
The clip then cut to an old comedy sketch from The Amanda Show titled “Amanda’s Jacuzzi,” which aired between 1999 and 2002 and showed Bynes and Schneider in a hot tub as part of a scripted scene.
Bynes clarified that the TikTok creator spliced together unrelated content — her Instagram Story and a decades-old sketch — to fabricate a damaging narrative. She emphasized that the TikTok account is not hers and that the claims were posted solely “for clickbait.”
Representatives for Dan Schneider declined to comment.
Viral Claims Emerge Amid Schneider’s Ongoing Legal Battle
The resurfaced clip comes as Schneider remains embroiled in a legal dispute with the makers of “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” a 2024 investigative documentary examining the culture behind Nickelodeon’s classic shows.
Schneider has sued the documentary’s producers for defamation, arguing that the series implies misconduct that he says never occurred. A Los Angeles judge recently allowed his lawsuit to proceed, stating that a “reasonable viewer” could interpret certain segments of the documentary as making serious allegations.
Schneider — who helped create several major Nickelodeon hits including All That, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, Victorious, iCarly, and The Amanda Show — has repeatedly denied wrongdoing. His attorneys maintain he was unaware of any misconduct by others and condemned such behavior once it came to light.
The documentary also explored criminal cases involving two former Nickelodeon employees, but Schneider’s legal team insists he had no involvement in their actions.
Bynes Calls the TikTok “100% Fake”
As online speculation continues to spread, Bynes is urging fans not to believe the viral edits.
She stressed that the TikTok claims are entirely fabricated, and she had no role in creating, endorsing, or supporting the video in any way.
