FG Denies Issuing Circular Ordering Nationwide School Closure

The Federal Ministry of Education has debunked a viral circular claiming that the Federal Government has ordered all schools across the country to shut down following recent cases of pupil abductions.

In a statement released on Saturday, November 22, the ministry described the report as false, misleading, and not traceable to any official authority. It stressed that the alleged directive did not originate from the Federal Government, the Ministry of Education, any State Ministry of Education, or any recognised security agency.

The disclaimer, signed by the ministry’s spokesperson, Folasade Boriowo, urged Nigerians to disregard the fake circular and rely solely on verified information from official government channels.
