Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has disclosed the most expensive item he has ever bought in his life a private jet.
The revelation came ahead of his interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, where Ronaldo discussed topics ranging from wealth and family to his plans for the future.
During the first part of the interview, Ronaldo reflected on his massive career earnings and becoming football’s first-ever billionaire. When asked by Morgan if he had recently reached billionaire status, Ronaldo replied confidently:
“Not true. No, I became a billionaire many years ago! I know how much money I have. Not precisely, but most of it.”
He added that becoming a billionaire was one of his main career goals, comparing it to his achievements like winning the Ballon d’Or:
“It’s like when I won the Ballon d’Or. It was my goal to reach that number. I am the ONLY billionaire in football. The numbers don’t lie. Call me cocky, but the numbers don’t lie. It doesn’t surprise me that I am the only billionaire in football. When you look at all the records, Cristiano Ronaldo will be there on top of the list.”
When Morgan asked Ronaldo about the most expensive thing he has ever bought, the Portuguese star answered without hesitation:
“The most expensive thing? Plane. Global Express. I’ve had a plane since, it’s 13 years old, but I changed one year ago, so it’s a little bit expensive.”
