Gospel Singers Seek Financial Support for Ailing Colleague Bunmi Akinnaanu ‘Omije Ojumi’

Prominent Nigerian gospel musicians, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Lanre Alewilese, and others, have appealed to the public for financial assistance to support their colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.

Their calls for help come weeks after the gospel singer visited G.F David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking healing for a troubling leg ailment that has reportedly left her financially drained.

“She Needs Your Support Now” — Lanre Alewilese

In a video shared on Instagram, singer Lanre Alewilese urged Nigerians to pray for and support Omije Ojumi as she battles the undisclosed health condition.

He pleaded:
“She really needs your support NOW! God, in your mercy, please heal her. I’m calling on both young and old, my brothers and sisters in the gospel industry, including Juju and Fuji musicians. Please let’s set religion aside and save the life of sister Bunmi Akinanu Omije Ojumi.”

Alewilese revealed that he had reached out privately to several artists but felt compelled to make the situation public due to the urgency of her condition.

He added that he was shocked to learn she was still being moved from one hospital to another despite earlier hopes that her healing had progressed.

More Celebrities Join the Appeal

Other entertainers, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Akinade Olubukola, and actress Foluke Daramola, also took to their social media pages to solicit prayers and financial support for the ailing singer.

Public Concern Grows

DAILY POST reports that although the exact nature of Omije Ojumi’s medical condition remains unclear, the viral video has sparked widespread concern among fans and well-wishers.
