Renowned Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has spoken out to correct the long-held belief that he is a shy person.
In a recent interview on Ada’s Room, the music star clarified that he is not shy but naturally laid back.
“People Think I’m Shy, But I’m Not” — Olamide
Olamide stated that many fans misunderstand his calm and quiet personality.
“One thing I wish people could understand about me is I am not shy, I am just laid back,” he said.
The host, Ada, pressed further, asking him to explain the difference between being shy and being laid back.
Olamide Explains the Difference
Olamide broke it down clearly:
“Shy is when you don’t have the confidence and the charisma to stand people or look them in the eye or have conversations with them.
“But being laid back is you just don’t want to be bothered. People think I am shy but I am not.”
Calm, Confident, and Reserved
The rapper, known for hits like “Durosoke,” “Melo Melo,” and “Wo!!”, emphasized that his reserved nature is often mistaken for shyness, but it is simply his preference for staying low-key and minding his own business.
