President Tinubu Congratulates Governor Soludo on Re-election Victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State on his re-election, describing the victory as an affirmation of the governor’s visionary leadership and commitment to good governance.

In a statement issued on Sunday, President Tinubu commended the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for its performance in the election, noting that the party’s success reflected the vibrancy and maturity of Nigeria’s democracy.

The President also hailed the people of Anambra State, the security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and credible poll.

According to Tinubu, Soludo’s overwhelming victory in the November 8, 2025 governorship election makes him the third governor in Anambra’s history to win a second term, a feat the President said was well-deserved.

“The re-election of Professor Soludo is a testament to his visionary leadership and the significant progress Anambra has made under his guidance,” President Tinubu stated.

He further praised INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and his team for conducting a credible election, urging the commission to sustain and improve on the high standards achieved during the process.

Tinubu described Soludo as a disciplined, innovative, and results-driven leader who has brought “grace, brilliance, and a fresh perspective” to governance in Anambra State, adding that the state continues to live up to its motto as “The Light of the Nation.”

Recalling his visit to Anambra in May 2025, the President said he was impressed by the development projects executed by the Soludo administration and the “good thinking” behind them.

President Tinubu urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory, extend a hand of cooperation to his opponents, and continue working for the collective good of the people of Anambra State.

He also assured Governor Soludo of the Federal Government’s continued partnership and support in advancing peace, prosperity, and development across the state.
