Nigerian club to face Pyramids FC, RS Berkane, and Power Dynamos in the group stage starting November 21.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has conducted the group stage draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League, placing Nigeria’s Rivers United in Group A.
Rivers United will go up against some tough opponents, including reigning champions Pyramids FC of Egypt, Moroccan giants RS Berkane, and Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
Group B features record 12-time winners Al Ahly of Egypt, alongside Tanzania’s Young Africans, Moroccan champions AS FAR, and two-time African champions JS Kabylie.
Group C sees South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns face Sudan’s Al Hilal, Algeria’s MC Alger, and DR Congo’s St Éloi Lupopo.
Meanwhile, Group D includes Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), Simba SC (Tanzania), Petro de Luanda (Angola), and Stade Malien (Mali).

The group stage will pause during the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and resume on Jan. 23–25, 2026, with the knockout phase set to begin on March 13, 2026.
The winners of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League will take home $4 million, while the runners-up will earn $2 million.
