The founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has finally broken his silence over his ongoing relationship scandal with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
DAILY POST reports that Doris Ogala was arrested at her residence on Saturday, December 20, 2025, following allegations she made against the cleric over an alleged unfulfilled promise of marriage.
Addressing his congregation during a marriage thanksgiving service on Sunday, Pastor Okafor spoke publicly on the matter for the first time. In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the cleric repeatedly stated, “He that alleges must prove.”
Okafor claimed that God instructed him to remain silent initially, despite what he described as painful misrepresentation.
“Though it can be painful that you are misrepresented for what you are not, what you have never seen or known in your life, we leave it there for now. Thanks be unto the Lord,” he said.
The pastor added that he would not respond directly to the allegations, saying doing so would amount to dignifying the devil.
“We will never dignify a mad devil by replying. That would amount to glorifying the devil,” Okafor stated.
“Since I grew up, I have known this man (God) as my father, and nobody can tell me anything about him.”
He further explained that the matter is now before the authorities, stressing that he is following due process rather than engaging in public arguments.
“There’s a law in this country that works, and we follow the law. Everything you say to anybody, you must prove it in the law court,” he said.
“So don’t worry, we are not quiet. We’re praying and following the mature way we should follow. The truth will come out.”
Okafor declined to provide details, citing ongoing investigations.
“Because the authorities are in the matter, I cannot say it in public. You will be surprised about people that are involved, and people behind the scene. But because it is before the authorities, I will not jeopardise the investigation and the court process that has ensued. He that alleged must prove,” he added.
DAILY POST recalls that Doris Ogala’s arrest sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians and fellow celebrities debating the circumstances surrounding the case.
Reacting to her arrest, a popular Nigerian influencer publicly called for Doris Ogala’s release and threatened to expose what he described as alleged criminal evidence involving Pastor Okafor and some of his associates.
The case continues to generate intense public interest as investigations remain ongoing.
