Nigerian singer Ruger has stirred strong reactions online after sharing his controversial opinion about women who undergo Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. The popular artiste made the comment in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), where he suggested that women with BBL often display negative behavior.
In his words, Ruger claimed that it seems the BBL procedure “comes with attitude,” a remark that quickly set social media abuzz.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Ruger wrote:
“When I see girl with BBL, I dey straight-up think say dem get bad character. Be like the procedure dey come with small attitude and ogba.”
His statement immediately went viral, triggering a heated debate among Nigerians. Many social media users criticized Ruger for generalizing and judging women based on their bodies, while others defended his opinion as a personal preference.
The discussion has since dominated online platforms, with users raising concerns about how women’s bodies remain frequent targets for public scrutiny, especially from celebrities.
As the conversation grows, Ruger’s comment has become one of the most talked-about topics in Nigerian entertainment this week.
