Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has revealed that Nollywood actress Funke Akindele played a key role in helping him regain his freedom after he was detained by authorities.
9javibez reports that Peller was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) subsequently ordered his arrest and prosecution for reckless driving.
Speaking during the premiere of the movie “Love Notes” on Saturday, Peller publicly expressed gratitude to Funke Akindele while exchanging pleasantries with her at the event.
According to the TikTok streamer, the actress intervened and helped secure his release from prison.
He said:
“She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who saved my life.”
