Shanko Rasheed’s Estranged Wife Regains Custody of Their Children

Adeyemi Kafayat, the estranged wife of singer Shanko Rasheed, has regained custody of their two children.

9JAVIBEZ recalls that Kafayat had previously spoken on the Talk to B podcast about the challenges she faced, accusing the Fuji musician of forcefully taking away their remaining children after the death of their first child, Jamal, who passed away three weeks ago. She also alleged domestic abuse and abandonment, which she said contributed to Jamal’s death from depression, and appealed to the public and authorities for help in regaining custody of her children.

In a recent Instagram post, Talk to B host and actress Biola Adebayo announced that Kafayat has successfully regained custody with the support of well-meaning Nigerians and the Lagos State government through the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA). Sharing a photo of Kafayat’s reunion with her children, the actress wrote, “Shanko’s wife has finally taken custody of her two children after the loss of her first child. Victory at last.”
