A viral video circulating across social media platforms has sparked outrage after a Nigerian police officer identified as Newton Isokpehi allegedly threatened citizens against recording police officers while on duty.

The officer, who reportedly shared the controversial clip on his TikTok account known as “Newton Isokpehi For Life,” warned that anyone attempting to film him during operations could face severe consequences.

In the now-trending video, Isokpehi expressed frustration over the harsh working conditions faced by officers in the, while also issuing disturbing threats directed at members of the public.

According to him, any citizen bold enough to record him while carrying out police duties risks being attacked or shot.

The officer further criticized individuals and authorities allegedly encouraging Nigerians to film police officers during operations, vowing to “deal with them harshly.”

During the emotional outburst, Isokpehi displayed what he described as bullet wounds and gunshot scars on his body, claiming they were proof of the sacrifices and suffering police officers endure daily without proper welfare and support.

He also acknowledged recent efforts by the current Inspector General of Police to settle unpaid insurance and death benefits owed to officers and their families.
