Locals in the Nyanya community in the Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State gave a man the harsh penalty he supposedly deserved for stealing a goat.
Apparently, Nyanya Youths Forums (NYF) members caught the suspect and tied him to a wooden pole.
Nigerian journalist Solomon Ogar shared images of the suspect Friday night, July 12, 2023, saying that the general public should have turned over the alleged goat thief to the police rather than enforcing the law themselves.
