Before PalmPay helped her get into the tech industry, she didn't think it was for her.

A lady was able to enter the IT industry with Palm Pay.  See her tale below.

''Selecting a profession that is entirely distinct from your previous experience? That's challenging. Attempting to flourish in it? Even more difficult.

I was therefore both excited and subtly afraid when I first learned about the PalmPay Purple Women Masterclass.

I've always been interested in technology. Tech to me simply meant "hacking and coding," even though I had heard the buzz and seen the tweets. Furthermore, I didn't feel like that. I never thought I could really fit in, but I nevertheless jumped in with 99 other women for a three-day online course that would fundamentally change the way I think.

We saw what is possible when women lead technology, in addition to learning about it. Under the direction of strong mentors, PalmPay's Purple Women program gave us the tools, encouragement, and self-assurance we needed to assert our position in the fintech industry.

Ten out of one hundred women were chosen to intern for six months in various PalmPay departments. It was an opportunity to put our knowledge to use. an opportunity to develop as professionals as well as students.

I've been on this trip for three months, and it has changed my view on my profession and shaped my thoughts. My experience as an intern in the human resources department exceeded my expectations. I'm gaining practical experience in a variety of areas, including as payroll, workplace regulations, hiring and onboarding, and fostering an atmosphere where individuals can flourish. To be honest, it is thrilling to contribute in a field I never imagined myself in, even if I have filled out more spreadsheets than I can remember—sometimes till my eyes have crossed (laughs).

Then there is the well-known "no door" policy of PalmPay. The atmosphere drastically changed; there was less hierarchy and more teamwork. You can directly approach the MD, present your concept, and take responsibility for the outcome. It creates an atmosphere that is open, empowering, and far from toxic at work. I feel like my voice matters and that I'm seen and heard.

And the people? very outrageously polite and very kind. No joke, there is a celebration in the company virtually every week, and everyone gets to enjoy it. It turns waking up for work every day into something to look forward to rather than a drudgery.

One of the ten is me. "My results speak louder than my words," I am constantly reminded. I am thereby learning aspiration, resilience, perseverance, and responsibility every day that I show up. What once seemed unattainable is now seeming like the beginning, and what began as fear is evolving into purpose.

In retrospect, I see that my journey was more about finding my own strengths than it was about figuring out the ins and outs of HR or adjusting to a new professional path.

As they say, "One step starts a thousand miles of travel." I'm happy that I started using PalmPay.
