The Anambra State Government has suspended a head teacher for permitting a political rally to hold within a public school premises.
The commissioner of education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, described the act as “a gross violation of school ethics,” stressing that schools are meant for learning, not politics.
She said the suspension would stand pending investigation, warning other teachers to maintain neutrality and protect the sanctity of the classroom.
Videos of the rally, which surfaced online, showed campaign banners and party supporters inside the school compound, drawing public outrage across the state.
