CDCFIB cautions candidates about phony paramilitary recruitment texts.

As the 2025 paramilitary recruitment process moves into a critical stage, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, or CDCFIB, has cautioned candidates to be wary of false recruitment communications that are making the rounds online.

In a message published late Wednesday on its official X Twitter, CDCFIB made it clear that it will not be contacting candidates via SMS or email.

As part of the continuous shortlisting process, the Board reminded applicants that all valid updates are only accessible through its portal and encouraged them to visit the website to update their profiles and print their exam slips.

"Applicants will not get emails or SMS messages from CDCFIB. To print your exam slip after being shortlisted, go to our portal and update your profile.
Pay close attention to the directions. "Watch out for con artists," the Board advised.

The warning follows the announcement of the names of the applicants who were shortlisted for the computer-based test administered by the paramilitary agencies.

To find out if they were shortlisted, applicants to any of the four paramilitary agencies were encouraged by the board's secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, to check the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng starting Thursday.

Candidates can verify their shortlist status for the next round of the exercise and the locations for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) starting on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

"It is also requested that shortlisted candidates pay attention to the time, date, and location of the CBT," he stated.

In order to prevent scams, he recommended applicants to pay attention to the exact portal address that is displayed.

According to the DAILY POST, the organizations are the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
