The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, has been accused by well-known Nigerian artist Oladips of stealing N10 million from him.
The rapper revealed this almost a year after the EFCC arrested him during a midnight raid on his property.
According to the DAILY POST, Oladips and a few of his neighbors were detained in November 2024 on suspicion of fraud.

He was held for five days before being released.
In his most recent interview on the Trending podcast, Oladips talked about his experience with the EFCC and said that nothing was discovered on him during their investigations.
He bemoaned that "Nigeria just happened to me" while disclosing that the EFCC had obtained N10 million from him prior to his release.
That's the only place that smells like that. They provided us with meaningless food and simply crammed us in like sardines. Oddly enough, Zlatan was the one sending me food. That's in my blood; Zlatan isn't even a friend.

The cuisine there is terrible, so he sent someone to buy me some decent meals. We were crammed in like sardines. First of all, I'm not even supposed to be there. For example, why did I stay there for four or five days when you (EFCC) found nothing at all on me? And before they release me, they still get N10 million from me.
The singer said, "Who is my father?" in response to the question, "Is it something you can take up against the EFCC later, or you will just allow the sleeping dog lie?"

Now, who is my father? Ultimately, who is my father? It's simply my truth and myself. I will not want to do that. I'm not merely familiar with the system's operation. I would answer that I do Yahoo because I had already visited their page. Nothing was discovered on me. They are aware that I am speaking the truth if they are observing.
Before they let me go, they took money from me. Nothing was discovered on me. What was the money used for, then? What was the purpose of all that pain and stress? Only Nigeria is involved. I just happened to be in Nigeria," he remarked.
