Erigga asserts that polygamy harms mothers and children

 

Well-known rapper Erigga has expressed his opinion on polygamy, saying that it is bad for women and kids.

The rapper, drawing on his own upbringing in a polygamous household, clarified that with polygamy, there are always parties that feel wronged, and that the women and children were typically the ones who were involved rather than the males.

In an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Erigga claimed that he is trying not to be like his father by avoiding polygamy.

I'm making an effort to avoid being like my dad. The woman is the one who suffers, which is why I dislike polygamy. There’s never a polygamous circumstance where the man gets injured; it’s always the lady and the kids,” he stated.

Erigga said that monogamy is simpler and more satisfying for all parties involved, so males should embrace it instead of convoluted polygamy.
