A freezer room containing contaminated fish that were being sold to unwary citizens of Ilorin, the state capital, has been sealed by Kwara State Ministry of Environment officials.
According to reports, the environmental officials caught some contaminated fish and then located the enclosed freezer room where they came from. The rotten fish were seized, and the cold room was sealed, according to Environment Commissioner Hajia Nafisat Buge.
"It is inappropriate for any business to sell ruined goods for commerce in goods intended for human use. By stopping more sales, seizing the goods, and closing the location, our officials have taken the necessary action," the commissioner stated.
Buge cautioned entrepreneurs against dealing in unhealthy food products since it is immoral, illegal, and ungodly.
