Liverpool legend and football pundit Jamie Carragher has hailed Arsenal as the best team in Europe at the moment following their emphatic 3–1 win over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

The Gunners produced a dominant performance at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke, and Gabriel Martinelli sealing the victory against the German champions.

Speaking on CBS Sports after the match, Carragher was full of praise for Mikel Arteta’s side:

“Arsenal are the best team in Europe right now.”

Carragher added that the bigger challenge for Arsenal will be maintaining this level until the end of the season:

“The only thing that we said before the game—and we are saying it with Bayern but more with Arsenal because they have just beaten them well—is whether they can still be the best team in Europe by May. There is a long way to go but no one can get near them right now.”
