The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced its intention to prosecute TikTok content creator, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, following a series of road accidents that have sparked public outrage and safety concerns.
DJ Chicken Crashes Into Motorcycles in Sagamu
According to the ministry, the decision comes after Abiodun allegedly rammed into two motorcycles in Sagamu, Ogun State, on November 1, 2025, leaving a rider and a female passenger critically injured.
A government statement released Monday via its official X handle revealed that witnesses claimed DJ Chicken attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by bystanders.
Third Accident in Two Months
The Ministry of Justice further noted that Abiodun was also involved in another accident on Sunday in Lekki, Lagos State, where he narrowly avoided hitting pedestrians. This incident reportedly marks the third road crash involving the TikTok creator within two months.
State Says Public Must Be Protected
Part of the statement reads:
“Mr Abiodun’s heedless return to the wheel with no greater care just three weeks after makes it imperative that the state must intervene to protect the public – especially as there is an organic outcry against his continued driving.”
The ministry added that although victims of reckless driving are entitled to civil compensation, some drivers pose “special dangers to society” and must be held accountable under criminal law.
Attorney-General Orders Swift Arraignment
To ensure accountability, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed relevant officials to expedite action on the pending Sagamu crash case to ensure prompt arraignment.
Govt Reaffirms Commitment to Public Safety
The ministry reiterated its commitment to working closely with law enforcement agencies to protect citizens from reckless drivers and ensure safer roads across Ogun State.
