Popular Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels, has reacted to the release of her elder brother, Sammy Daniels, from prison.

According to reports, Sammy was granted ₦5 million bail on Monday, November 10, 2025, and released after fulfilling his bail conditions.

Reacting to the development, Regina took to her Instagram Story to express her excitement and relief, sharing several videos and emotional messages about her brother’s freedom.

In one of the clips showing her video call with Sammy, Regina wrote:

“People love me ooo, I no believe am walai, and that makes me emotional. I love you so much, my brother. Nobody go try beat me again. The kind love I have received during this period makes me feel good.

Ned thought people would hate me. Make I no lie, for many reasons, belle dey sweet me.”

Sammy’s release came after days of public agitation online under the hashtag #FreeSammy, as Nigerians called for his freedom following reports of his alleged unfair detention.

Recall that Sammy was arrested and charged in an Abuja court by his younger sister’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after calling him out on social media amid the ongoing messy fallout between the Senator and Regina Daniels.

Ned Nwoko had been accused of domestic abuse, an allegation he has since denied  claiming instead that Regina was struggling with drug use, which allegedly contributed to their conflict.

Sammy’s bail and release have sparked fresh reactions online, as fans continue to show massive support for Regina Daniels and her family amid the unfolding drama.
