US Ambassador Invites Nicki Minaj for Talks on Protection of Persecuted Christians

The invitation follows the rapper’s reaction to alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria and Donald Trump’s recent declaration on religious freedom.

The United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, has invited American rapper Nicki Minaj for a discussion on the protection of persecuted Christians around the world.

This invitation comes shortly after the “Super Bass” hitmaker publicly condemned the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria on her official X (formerly Twitter) account.

According to DAILY POST, the development follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern (CPC)”, citing alleged Christian genocide perpetrated by Islamist groups.

President Trump also directed the U.S. Department of Defense to prepare for possible action against terrorist organizations operating in Nigeria.

Reacting to Trump’s declaration, Nicki Minaj, a 12-time Grammy-nominated artist, praised the religious freedom enjoyed in the United States while expressing concern for Christians facing violence and discrimination in Nigeria.

“I’m grateful for the freedom of faith we have here in the U.S., but it breaks my heart to see Christians persecuted elsewhere,” she wrote.

In response, Ambassador Mike Waltz thanked the rapper for using her platform to advocate for global religious freedom and extended an invitation to discuss the matter further.

“I would love to speak with you in more depth about what our administration is doing to protect Christians’ freedoms all over the world,” Waltz said.
“We can’t allow this to continue. Every sister and brother of Christ must band together and say, ‘Enough!’”

The development has sparked widespread online reactions, with many praising Minaj’s courage to speak out on humanitarian and religious issues beyond entertainment.
