Bigiano Claims He Wrote Hook for Davido’s Hit Song ‘Dami Duro’

Nigerian singer Bigiano has claimed that he contributed to the creation of Davido’s breakthrough hit song, Dami Duro.

The “Shayo” crooner made the revelation during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where he stated that he wrote the hook of the 2011 smash hit.

“I wrote Dami Duro for Davido. I wrote the hook,” Bigiano claimed.

Speaking on his prolonged absence from the music scene, the singer explained that he intentionally took a break to prepare for a stronger comeback. According to him, the sabbatical was necessary to regroup and plan a massive return to music.

Bigiano also dismissed claims of financial struggle, insisting that he remains financially stable despite stepping away from the spotlight. “I can’t be broke,” he said.

Released in 2011, Dami Duro played a major role in launching Davido into mainstream success. The song has since been ranked among the greatest Afrobeats songs of all time by several local and international music critics.

However, Bigiano is not officially credited as a co-writer on the song. As of the time of this report, Davido has yet to respond publicly to the claim.
