Nollywood Actor Stanley Ontop Arrested Over Alleged Defamation After Queeneth Hilbeth’s Petition

Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker Stanley Ajemba, widely known as Stanley Ontop, has been arrested for alleged defamation.

He was reportedly picked up on Tuesday and detained by the Delta State Police Command following a petition filed by actress Queeneth Hilbeth.
Details of the petition have not yet been made public.

Stanley’s associate and activist, Mama Pee, raised the alarm on Instagram, accusing Queeneth Hilbeth of using the police to “harass and intimidate” people.

In her posts, she wrote:

“Stanley Ontop arrested and detained in SCID Asaba!”
She further questioned why the matter wasn’t taken to court, saying:
“@queenethhilbert, you all should stop using police to harass people… Whoever has a case should go to court. Is defamation not for court again?”

Mama Pee also tagged the Delta State Police Command, demanding to know why the actor was being held, adding that both parties are public figures and the issue should be handled lawfully.

As of now, the police have not released an official statement regarding the arrest or the status of the investigation.
