Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has criticized Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her recent remarks praising single mothers.
The outspoken singer made the comments in a video that has since gone viral on social media, where he verbally attacked the actress and questioned her credibility to advise young people on marriage-related issues.
According to Portable, Iyabo Ojo is not in a position to offer guidance to the younger generation, especially on marital matters. He further made controversial claims suggesting that single mothers are prone to promiscuity and may have children with multiple partners.
“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men? One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he asked in the video.
Portable’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users condemning his comments as insensitive, while others debated the broader issue of single parenthood and public influence.
As of the time of filing this report, Iyabo Ojo has not publicly responded to the singer’s remarks.
