Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has opened up about her biggest red flags when it comes to choosing a partner.
In a recent interview with American media outfit Complex, the Love Me Jeje crooner stated that she cannot date men who are unfriendly or lack curiosity about their partner. According to her, relationships lose their meaning when one party shows no genuine interest in the other.
Tems explained:
“My dating terms are someone who is not trying to be your friend is a red flag. Anybody that isn’t curious about you is also a red flag. Because what are we doing? Why are we here if you don’t want to know me?
If he or she doesn’t want to know more about you, end the relationship.”
She further described herself as a “lover girl,” but noted that she is now more cautious in relationships due to past experiences. For now, Tems said she is prioritising self-love and personal growth.
