Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and struggled with the addiction for 27 years.
The 40-year-old actress made the disclosure while sharing her testimony during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church. She also spoke openly about her past struggles with alcohol addiction, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues.
Describing her experiences as a form of “demonic oppression,” Dikeh said she found freedom through divine intervention, explaining that noticeable changes began to occur as her spiritual life improved.
According to her, smoking became part of her life at an early age due to exposure at home, noting that her father was a smoker. She cautioned parents against exposing children to habits that could negatively influence their lives.
The actress further disclosed that she had battled what she described as “demonic anger,” which she said previously affected her relationships and personal wellbeing. She added that she recently experienced healing from the condition.
Following her testimony, the founder of Streams of Joy International Church, Pastor Jerry Eze, prayed for her, declaring that she had been delivered from the burden of sin and describing her as “a voice in her generation.”
Dikeh’s testimony has since sparked conversations online about addiction, faith, and personal transformation.
